Why
What we believe
Entrepreneurs should undertake – not administer. But in most companies knowledge is chaos: spreadsheets in dozens of versions, contracts in folders nobody searches, important information in heads instead of systems. There is no single source of truth. Whoever cannot get at their own knowledge cannot act – only react.
We change that: we make business knowledge accessible – and build automations on it that can be trusted even in sensitive areas.
Why “semantic”? Page nine of the O&M contract of one of your plants promises an availability. No monitoring portal knows that sentence – until the settlement comes in lower than expected. Semantic means not just processing data, but understanding what it means in the context of your plants.
How
How we work
We structure the knowledge of your company – so that busywork disappears and you can concentrate on what only you can do. From your data, your processes, your language. This knowledge belongs to you: accessible, structured, under your control. Specialised AI agents build on it and take over routine work on their own, while you make the strategic decisions.
Before an agent acts for you – the settlement against your monitoring, the invoice against the contract, the report against the commitment – it has to understand your company. Which plant carries which identifiers, what is signed, what you are entitled to: we read that from your documents, every value with its source.
- Context before automation. We understand your company first, then we automate. Other tools file documents – we read them and know what to check them against.
- Human in the loop. Agents that work on their own, yes – but you stay the decision-maker. The agent proposes, you approve; every finding names the rule, the documents and the figures, so you can recalculate it. Before a bank, an auditor or a buyer, transparency is a duty, not a feature.
- Digital sovereignty. Your business data belongs to you, not to a large cloud provider. European infrastructure, open standards, no dependency.

What we build
We build the company model that makes AI dependable for you.
Today we do this for asset managers of photovoltaic portfolios. SemanticWorks assigns every document to its plant and derives the plant file from it – every value with its source. Agents check against what is signed, what you are entitled to and what you have measured – checks that are trivial one by one and impossible to keep up with in sum. You approve.
You start with an online demo. Then a pilot on one plant, then plant by plant across the portfolio. We introduce it with you, build your rules and agents with you – and advise before refinancing, a sale or a credit review.
The plant file is the first room of your digital twin. You know the digital twin of your plants – it knows what they produce. Ours knows what is signed, what you are entitled to and what falls due. Every new agent uses the same model and the twin grows – first inward, then outward: to the bank, shareholders, buyers and service providers.
The side effect that pays off: whoever keeps their file this way has due diligence ready every day. What is missing becomes a task, instead of being rebuilt at expert prices at the sale or the refinancing.
Expertise for yield and financing.
Two founders from PV research, plant operation, finance and software stand behind the product. We also offer this knowledge as consulting. How likely is your plant to meet its financial plan? We update the yield forecast, the marketing prices and the costs with the operating data and quantify the uncertainty – to prepare for refinancing, a sale or a credit review. And if a plant produces less than expected, we find out why.
